| TILE ART Handmade ceramic tile is the wonderful and sometimes mysterious product of the combined forces of earth, weather, fire, air, and the creative energy of the tilemaker. The possibilities are endless and often unpredictable. It is imperative that the potential client understand and appreciate this when they consider commissioning a work of tile art.
The price of custom work is determined by the size and complexity of the tile itself. Upon approval of the drawings and glaze samples, one-half of the cost of the total job is expected, the balance paid upon delivery.

Nearly all of our work is commissioned and we work closely with clients to achieve their goals. We are available for both large and small commissions.
When a client initially makes their request, they often have a vague idea of subject matter, color, or even the style of tile best suited to their needs. Once a theme is decided, creative inspiration takes over. We work closely with clients to make sure every aspect meets their needs and tastes.

Each tile is unique and reflects the personal care and attention given to produce this art form. Because each tile is formed and set by hand the cost is somewhat higher than machine made tile.
Prices are determined by the square inch and calculated in Canadian currency. Average tile size and thickness determines detail and time involved to create each project. Hand mixed custom glazes to color match interior decorating requirements also takes time and extra care. Therefore, these factors are used to calculate the price per square inch of each custom created tile project.
