ABOUT US

Colleen

From the time she was old enough to pick up a pencil, she has known what path she was set out to follow.

Being completely self taught, she has worked with a wide variety of mediums from pencil, acrylics and oils to clay, glass, and wood. In addition, the applications for these mediums have been endless.

Her favourites are clay, airbrushing, pencil sketching and woodworking. It has been through this creative and often times challenging artistic adventure that she find the peace and solace that she so dearly treasures

Doug

The financial backer for the typical "starving artist" and, incidentally the artist's muse.  If it wasn't for Doug, Colleen would not have been able to create many of her peices.

Together

They creat unique, one-of-a-kind artwork.  For several years they have been making their creations out of their home based studio.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

From early childhood, I developed a passion for art. Art is a great way to escape from reality. Having the ability to enter the world of imagination and pull out inspiration is both a wonder and a privilege. Painting and the use of clay are the main ways I choose to express myself.  Nature and animals have been my greatest inspirations for as long as I can remember. My artwork is my way of bringing nature's creations into public view, creating more awareness of what we're losing.

The diverse subjects and mediums used, attention to detail, use of color, and flowing lines make my work stand out. In order to accomplish this, I research and analyze the subject until I find inspiration.   Sometimes several sketches are prepared before I settle on one that will become my next project.

My goal is to touch people's lives and give them joy through my artwork.
